Transmission

4-speed manual transmission powered the Bugatti 57. The engines of Type 50, 51 utilized bevel gears at the front of the engine to communicate power from the crankshaft, though Type 57 utilized a train of spur gears at the back of the engine, with fiber gear wheels on the camshafts to accomplish quieter in activity.
