Overview of Koenigsegg Jesko Absolut
Koenigsegg Jesko Absolut is the modified version of Koenigsegg Jesko and successor to the Jesko with reduced aerodynamic stresses and coefficient of drag, that will be manufactured by the Swedish automotive manufacturer Koenigsegg.
Jesko Absolut is the fastest Koenigsegg unveiled online after the Koenigsegg Gemera on 3 March 2020.
“This is the fastest Koenigsegg we will ever endeavor to make,” Koenigsegg said at the car’s reveal.
Specifications of Koenigsegg Jesko Absolut
The engine and transmission remain identical like Koenigsegg Jesko.
The same engine utilized within the Koenigsegg Agera powers the high-speed variant of Koenigsegg Jesko.
5.0-litre twin-turbocharged V8 engine powers the Jesko Absolut; generating an infinite power output of 1281 horsepower (1,298 PS; 955 kW) on normal gasoline.
The hypercar produces an unlimited amount of power output of 1603 horsepower (1,625 PS; 1,195 kW) and 1,500 N⋅m (1,106 lb-ft) of torque @ 5,100 rpm on E85 biofuel.
9-speed multi-clutch transmission powers the Koenigsegg Jesko absolut. This massive transmission is also called the Light Speed Transmission.
This Light speed transmission is 50% shorter in length than the previous 7-speed dual-clutch causing a reduction in weight to 90 kg (198 lb).
A massive aerodynamic study of Koenigsegg Jesko was taken by the officials. 125 days were spent just on the aerodynamic analysis and more than 208 days were spent on the design and engineering for the Jesko Absolut. More than 330 days were spent on the design and development of the Koenigsegg Jesko Absolut.
The massive rear wing is removed and is replaced by two rear fins which bring stability and a decrease in downforce from 1,400 kg (3,086 lb) to 150 kg (331 lb).
The front splitter and side winglets are removed and also the front louvres are smoother with the rear wheels featuring removable covers for high-speed stability.
The front splitter and side winglets are expelled and also the front louvers are smoother with the rear wheels featuring removable covers for high speed stability that will add 3-6 mph to its top speed.
Koenigsegg Jesko Absolut is 85 mm longer than Jesko and brings a totally better look to the rear of the car.
“It was a great design opportunity to celebrate the visual lightness in the rear of the car”, says Marcello Raeli who was the lead designer on the Jesko Absolut project.
These improvements enable the drag coefficient of 0.278.
Though the Koenigsegg Jesko Absolut is designed to be light with reduced coefficient of drag, it is still featured with features such as a climate control system, an infotainment system with a 9.0-inch screen, Apple CarPlay and USB phone charging. The car accompanies screens: a cluster screen mounted in the steering wheel and a 5.0-inch screen mounted behind the steering wheel, and electrically adjustable hollow carbon fibre.
The cluster screen rotates with the rotation of the steering wheel. So, the correct speed and other details are displayed correctly at the time when the steering wheel is rotated.
Wheels and tyres
The hypercar accompany the forged aluminium with diameters of 20 inches at the front and 21 inches at the rear and Michelin Pilot Sport tyres with codes: 265/35 20 for the front and 345/30 21 for the rear.
Rear steering wheel
The rear steering wheel is an essential feature in this car. People face problems while turning the vehicle left or right. So, keeping in mind this problem, Koenigsegg included this feature in the Jesko. The steering wheel not only turns the front wheels but turns all the four wheels, left or right.
Ultimate Power on Demand
It has 21 potential gear combinations (the gears are masterminded in two arrangements of three gears) and seven clutches permitting the driver to hop to any gear without upsetting the ratio. The Light speed transmission transmits between gears within a short interval of time between 20 to 30 milliseconds. It additionally has an overdrive mode called “Ultimate Power on Demand” that is intended to jump straightforwardly to the most favourable gear, as opposed to down or upshifting consecutively to that gear.
Production of Koenigsegg Jesko Absolut
The Koenigsegg Jesko Absolut will be priced higher than the Jesko with a claimed expected price of quite 3 million dollars. Koenigsegg claims a top speed of over 483 km/h (300 mph).
Production of Koenigsegg Jesko Absolut will be limited in number. Only 125 units of Koenigsegg Absolut will be made.
Performance of Koenigsegg Jesko Absolut
Koenigsegg claims an expected top speed of over 483 km/h (300 mph) for Koenigsegg Jesko Absolut. This super hyper car may well be capable of reaching the speeds of more than 300 miles per hour. But theoretically it might be able to reach the big speed of 532 km/h (330 mph).
“If you run the numbers, you take the frontal area, the cd, the power, the gear ratio, the power curve… the simulations say 532 km/h (330 mph), or something like that,” Koenigsegg said. “It’s of course a theoretical number, but that’s what simulation tells us. We don’t really have ambition to drive that fast. The end result will be location, driver willingness, and car’s capability. But theoretically, it looks extremely fast.”
