Overview of Aspark Owl
Aspark Owl is a Two Seater Electric sports car manufactured by Japanese company Aspark in collaboration with Manifattura Automobili Torino (MAT) to make the fastest accelerating electric car.
The Owl car was first unveiled at the 2017 Frankfurt Auto Show and then at the Dubai International Motor Show in November 2019.
Aspark made some crucial changes in the car during the 2019 Dubai International Motor Show such as wing mirrors, an active rear wing, and newly Shaped side glass.
Specifications of Aspark owl
Engine
Four electric motors (two rear, two front) powers the Aspark owl car generating a maximum power output of 1984 horsepower (1,480 kW; 2,012 PS) and 2,000 N⋅m (1,475 lb⋅ft) of torque.
An interesting thing about the hypercar is that the Torque is more than its weight.
A 64 kWh (230 MJ) lithium-ion featuring an Electric range of 450 km (280 mi) features the Aspark car.
The motor powering the hypercar rotates at an incredible rate of 15000 rpm, making it one of the fastest motor in the world.
The electric hypercar charges fully on a 44 kW charger in 80 minutes.
Different driving modes
This electric hypercar features Ride Height Control and Four Drive Modes: sport-dynamic, rain-snow, city-comfort, and high boost. Different drive modes are set differently by raising or lowering the suspension level of the car.
Other specifications
The Aspark Owl car runs at the height of 99 cm with a wheelbase of 2750 mm, making it the lowest road legal electric hypercar in the world.
The double-wishbone suspension system, hydraulic shock absorbers and torque vectoring technology accompany the Aspark owl for improved handling and smooth functioning of the vehicle.
The Aspark car is the fastest acceleration car in the world. So it’s braking power should also be equal to or more than the power output. Hence, the carbon-ceramic braking system supporting 10-piston callipers in the front and 4-piston callipers at the rear features the owl.
Performance of Aspark Owl car
The Aspark Owl car can accelerate from 0-97 km/h (60 mph) in just 1.69 seconds that is 0.71 seconds faster than the Bugatti Chiron super sport 300+, making it the fastest accelerating electric hypercar in the world.
It can run from 0-100 km/h (62 mph) in 1.9 seconds, 0-299 km/h (186 mph) in 10.6 seconds and reach a massive top speed of 400 km/h (249 mph).
Production of Aspark owl hyper sports car
The Japanese engineering company Aspark is producing the Aspark owl car, in collaboration with Manifattura Automobili Torino (MAT). All the production process is going on at Turin, Italy.
The company has planned to produce a limited number of Aspark cars after taking major tests related to performance, safety and durability. Aspark unveiled to produce only 50 units and had already received orders for 15 units.
All the 15 orders were reserved with an advance deposit of 50,000 Euros and the starting price of Euro 2,900,000.
The company unveiled to deliver the Aspark owl car during the second quarter of 2020. But it may delay due to the impact of an increase in COVID 19 cases in the world.
Each Aspark car will be fully customisable; the buyer can make changes in the vehicle at the time of purchase.
Aspark Owl is just the start, too. “We’re planning on making another model in the future,” he told TG. “Both smaller and bigger than the Owl.” Indeed, the second Aspark road car will be the big one, but not an SUV. “The only hypercars – I like hypercars!” he said.
Aspark Owl car also appears as a playable car in the most famous racing mobile game that is Asphalt 8: Airborne.
